Wow, something’s happening? It’s been rather slack 7 months on this project, but at least we’re finally done. Featuring 14 different artists, and over 4 hours of music. It replaces the ambient and GNR music as well as few music effects in the game. If you want your Fallout 3 to sound more hostile and post-apocalyptic, this is the mod to grab.

To people asking “what’s wrong with the OST of Fallout 3, I think it was great!” – Yes, I think the OST was good aswell, but it wasn’t good for the Fallout world. Inon Zur is a very skilled composer, but with Fallout 3 they (Bethesda) made the mistake of thinking the whole world as Oblivion with guns, as far as the soundtrack is concerned. It’s just simply not hostile enough; there’s not enough violence or desperation – things that MAKE the whole post-apocalyptic concept so interesting.
So we took the dark ambient/industrial route and hopefully made the game sound more like Fallout 1 & 2, which, in my humble opinion, have one of the greatest original soundtracks ever, rather than Oblivion with guns. However, don’t expect anything that sounds exactly like the earlier titles. We’re talking about a fps and completely different artists here, afterall.
I hope you enjoy the soundtrack and appreciate the effort we’ve put into it.
Cheerio.

Can’t believe this was not commented yet. I actually searched for your name due to the awesomeness of your music.
The industrial sound of your battle tracks is great, always looked for such music.
Also I feel reminded of the Hexen II Soundtracks when listening to “Ruins”, “Nephthys” and “Dead Tribes”. “Desolate Sands” however seems to have gotten a touch from the Heroes soundtrack….if you can call it soundtrack actually.
I also want to add, that I found this “add on” after I already finished Fallout and therefore never listened to it in game. I listen to it when doing stuff at my computer at home and I especially enjoy it at work.
So…thanks for your effort and the great music!
Sampo hello,
pystyykö tämän laittamaan Xboxin versioon kiinni?
Terveisiä Sotkamosta/Kajaanista
Antti: En tiedä xbox -version modausmahdollisuuksista. Pitäisi varmaan ottaa selvää. :)
Thank you Kordanor.
asiasta neljänteen joka ei tähän asiaan kuulu edes.
Oletkos ikinä psykedeelistä tranceä kokeillut vääntää? Vois tulla äijän tyylillä aika helvetin tiukkaa tiputusta?
Just gotta love this. I played few weeks with the OST for comparison and now installed this little gem. Works like a charm and sounds just great. Thanks a bunch for the whole team.

Here's a small fraction of my imagination for you to listen to. You can play the songs just by clicking on them.
I am Sampo Närhi, a Finnish homo sapiens sapiens. I was raised into a family of musicians and other artists. Needless to say I’m a bit peculiar. I also am one of those people who drink too much coffee, stay up too late and never can find a pen when it’s needed. This, I believe, is quite common among artists.
I spend my days by drinking too much coffee while staring blankly at my computer screen, waiting for revelations - ideas for new songs. Those occur very rarely nowdays unless I have a project to concentrate my thoughts on.
Electronic music is my forte, which of breakbeat, drum’n’bass, ambient and industrial are the closest to my heart. Despite that, I like to think myself as a very versatile composer, since I have the means and the experience to work on almost anything. I also have a fetish for ethnic percussions and post-apocalyptic stuff.
I believe mood is what makes and defines music. It doesn’t have to be complex to be awesome, it doesn’t have to have a clear structure with many different parts to be good. All music really needs is a carefully crafted atmosphere that makes the listener really feel something.
Want to collaborate? Got a project that needs music? Want to sell me dramamine? Just feel an urge to say hello? Just drop me a mail and I'll get back in touch with you asap.
You can find me or my music also from various other places.
